With such abundance, it is important to examine how these types of media affect us and what messages they portray. For this project, we will examine how women are portrayed in the media of entertainment and advertisement. Specifically, we will explore the messages surrounding the physical characteristics of women and how these aspects are painted by advertisement and entertainment media.

Throughout the following pages, we will ask what beauty is, explore what is meant by entertainment and advertisement media, examine what these media portray as natural beauty, view examples of different aspects of beauty, and finally, conclude with some possible implications of these depictions.
